Sarah & Pete | Shepstone Gardens | Johannesburg
Sarah & Pete had quite the ceremonious details intertwined in the story of their wedding day. Come the morning of, Pete and his bandmates had a quick sound check at the reception hall in preparation for serenading his bride later that evening. The romantic gesture was so sweet, the ‘aaah’s and oooh’s’ could be heard throughout the crowd. Sarah’s vintage dress was especially chosen for the sentimental meaning it carries.
The first bride to ever wear it was in fact her grandmother, and then passed on to her mother for her wedding day, and now to Sarah. The entire day was strongly influenced by their love of music. It started with guests loudly singing ‘Africa’ from Toto, to rock n roll playing into the night. It was an honor being able to share all the special and uniquely quirky moments of their big day.
